Our customer wanted a medium duty diesel service truck with a crane.

We had a GMC C6500 flatbed in stock.

We removed the flatbed and loader.

It had a 217 inch wheel base and we needed a 84 inch cab to axle to accomodate the new Pacific 132 inch service body. We shortened the wheel base by sliding the axle ahead and making up new drive shafts. We then installed the new service body which we had ordered with crane re-inforcements in the right rear compartment and top re-inforcements at the left front to allow the mounting of a compressor. We then mounted the New Autocrane 2703PR and wired it in. The last step was to paint the body to match the cab.
